ATTENTION WEST GOSHEN RESIDENTS!! Please review the following letter sent by former Township Supervisor Murphy from February 2017 and a response from current Township Supervisor Chris Pielli. The original letter details steps the township took to secure a bond to update and maintain the sewer infrastructure in West Goshen, a letter that was sent to all township residents. As Mr. Pielli explains, many of the claims made in that letter, including the expected increase in quarterly cost to each resident, were not accurate. (Please note that the letter from Supervisor Pielli reflects his stance on the issue, and may not necessarily be shared by all current Supervisors.)
There is a Joint Sewer Authority/Supervisors Meeting on August 29, 2018 at 6 PM in the West Goshen Township Building. Please attend if you would like to hear more about the original bond issue, the lack of a clear bond bidding process conducted by former Supervisors, the lack of solicited advice from knowledgeable sources when securing financing, and the actual effect on each household due to overly optimistic claims made prior to the bond issue.
THIS WILL AFFECT YOUR QUARTERLY SEWER COSTS!!
